How is it ketamine used?

Ketamine is both sold as a dry white powder or a clear liquid. The powder is made by drying the liquid. The residue from this drying process is then crushed and snorted in small doses. In rare cases ketamine is injected or smoked with tobacco or marijuana. Whether smoked or snorted, the effects begin in a few minutes and lasts less than an hour.

Long-Term Effects

Long term effects include brain damage, disruptions in consciousness, paranoia, and other mental disorders. Flashbacks have been reported for as long as a year after use. Effects on the brain have not been sufficiently studied in ketamine users. Chronic abuse of ketamine may be associated with continuing injury to memory.
